Employment Defense Attorney (Remote – California)
Base Salary: $170,000 - $300,000(2 yrs of experience)
About the Role
The position focuses on defending employers in a wide range of employment disputes, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and PAGA matters. The role offers substantive litigation responsibility and consistent client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage employment defense cases from intake through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, including demurrers and summary judgment
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Handle written discovery and case strategy
- Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Advise employers on compliance and risk mitigation
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license
- 2 years of employment defense experience
- Strong motion practice and discovery skills
- Experience handling wage & hour and discrimination matters
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote setting
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $300,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
