We are partnering with a growing employment litigation practice seeking a Senior Employment Defense Litigator to take ownership of complex employment matters. This is a senior role for an attorney who genuinely enjoys litigation and wants meaningful responsibility running cases end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Defend employers in employment litigation matters, including single-plaintiff, class action, and PAGA cases
- Manage cases from inception through resolution or trial
- Develop litigation strategy and handle pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation
- Provide employment advice and counsel to clients
- Work closely with partners while independently managing assigned matters
- 10 years of employment litigation experience, primarily on the defense side
- Demonstrated experience handling matters start-to-finish
- Class action and PAGA experience strongly preferred
- Prior plaintiff-side experience considered if not from a high-volume firm
- Self-directed, reliable, and confident litigator
- Must be admitted to the California Bar and in good standing
- Fully remote
- Must live within driving distance of Pasadena, CA
- Occasional in-person meetings or client appearances
- Base salary: $230,000-$300,000
- 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee
- Annual billable requirement: 1,900 hours
- $100 per hour bonus for any billable hours above 1,900
