Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. This role involves planning and implementing educational activities that promote childhood development while ensuring the well-being of each child. The Daycare Teacher will work with infants through preschool-aged children, fostering their growth and learning through engaging experiences.
Duties
- Provide attentive care for children, ensuring their basic needs are met, including feeding, diapering, and comfort.
- Supervise children during playtime and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social interaction and emotional development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programs that support children with disabilities or special needs.
- Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience with infant care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
- First Aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
- A nurturing attitude and a genuine passion for working with young children.
