Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. You will engage with infants, toddlers and preschool-aged children, fostering their development through play, education, and positive interaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in childcare settings and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Facilitate daily activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive team atmosphere.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as needed.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in toddler care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and caregiving practices.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable but not mandatory upon hiring.
