Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Apply child supervision best practices while managing classroom behavior and behavior management strategies
- Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
Requirements
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Must be able to pas a background check
- complete all required state trainings
- previous childcare experience is a plus
- strong communication and team work skills
