Latitude is partnering with a global agriculture and food processing company to identify an experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor for its U.S. operations. This is a highly visible, business-facing role that offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership, support strategic initiatives, and make a meaningful impact across the organization.
The Senior Counsel will serve as the company's primary legal resource in the United States, providing practical, business-oriented counsel on a broad range of matters, including commercial contracts and transactions, employment matters, litigation management, regulatory and compliance issues, and other day-to-day legal needs affecting the U.S. business. The role regularly partners with colleagues across multiple business functions and coordinates with international stakeholders and outside counsel as needed.
Requirements For The Senior Counsel
- 7 years of legal experience, with substantial experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
- Strong corporate and transactional background
- Experience independently managing multiple legal matters and competing priorities
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar license and good standing
- Outstanding professional references
Preferred Experience
- Prior in-house legal experience
- Employment law counseling experience
- Experience managing litigation and outside counsel
- Experience advising businesses with operations in multiple states
- Experience supporting cross-border business activities
- Manufacturing, food production, consumer products, agriculture, or other operational industry experience
