What are the responsibilities and job description for the California Real Estate Litigation Attorney position at Latitude Legal?
Southern California Real Estate Litigator (Engagement)
Are you a CA Licensed real estate attorney with a good background in landlord-tenant law looking to supplement your current workload? Are you available to occasionally travel to the San Diego area for court appearances? We may have an opportunity for you! We are seeking skilled Landlord-Tenant attorneys in southern California for a part-time contract engagement (approximately 5-10 hours per week). This role involves handling a variety of landlord-tenant issues, including unlawful detainers. It will involve occasional court appearances. This is a contract engagement. Applicants must be licensed in California, and prior experience advising on and litigating relevant, applicable law is required.
Basic Requirements For The Southern California Real Estate Litigator
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $160,000 to $190,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20 hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.

- Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California
