Government Contracts Associate – (Washington, DC/Hybrid)
Latitude is seeking an experienced Government Contracts Attorney for a permanent role with a nationally recognized AmLaw firm. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly regarded government contracts practice group on complex matters involving cost accounting, pricing, and regulatory compliance.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 4 years of direct experience handling government contracts, cost accounting and pricing matters. The role involves advising and representing clients on a wide range of government contract accounting and compliance issues, as well as dispute resolution and litigation.
Key Responsibilities
The salary range for this role is $250,000 to $290,000. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location. In addition to pay, a competitive benefits package is also provided.

Latitude is seeking an experienced Government Contracts Attorney for a permanent role with a nationally recognized AmLaw firm. This position offers the opportunity to work with a highly regarded government contracts practice group on complex matters involving cost accounting, pricing, and regulatory compliance.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 4 years of direct experience handling government contracts, cost accounting and pricing matters. The role involves advising and representing clients on a wide range of government contract accounting and compliance issues, as well as dispute resolution and litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel clients on compliance with FAR Part 31 and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Provide advice in connection with DCAA/DCMA audit reports and notices of potential CAS noncompliance.
- Assist in pre-COFD dispute resolution of cost accounting matters.
- Represent government contractors in appeals before the ASBCA, CBCA, and/or Court of Federal Claims, including drafting initial pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Provide strategic advice and assistance with requests for equitable adjustments and contractor claims.
- Advise and counsel on compliance with the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act, including representation in defective pricing investigations and claims.
- 3 - 4 years of direct government contracts, cost accounting and pricing experience.
- Strong background counseling clients on FAR Part 31 and CAS compliance.
- Experience with audits, dispute resolution, and litigation of cost accounting matters.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Prior experience with a top law firm or relevant government agency is preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice law in DC or eligible to waive into the DC Bar.
