What are the responsibilities and job description for the In-House Privacy Counsel (Onsite - Charlotte, NC) position at Latitude Legal?
Latitude is partnering with a national leader in the insurance brokerage industry that is adding an In-House Privacy Counsel to their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data privacy and protection within the organization and responsible for providing the strategic direction for the company’s privacy compliance program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading and scaling an organization’s privacy compliance program, fostering alignment among internal cross-functional teams, overseeing the protection of data collected by the company, development and implementation of comprehensive data privacy and security policies and procedures, drafting and reviewing privacy and security contractual clauses and agreements, and staying abreast of changes in privacy laws and regulations. This role will also be responsible for ongoing training of employees, assessing risk and addressing any incident responses (both cyber and data). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of all relevant cybersecurity and data protection laws and regulations, including CCPA, GLBA, GDPR, HIPAA, NYDFS, etc. Insurance industry, CFIUS and/or sanctions experience is a plus.

Pay: The base salary range for this role will be competitive plus a significant bonus. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, and credentials.
