Latitude is looking for a Georgia-based lawyer with 5 years of personal injury defense litigation experience for a flexible engagement position with a national law firm. The job is fully remote. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a dynamic team and have significant litigation experience handling written discovery, motion work, depositions and court hearings. Trial experience a plus but not required.
Responsibilities of the Georgia-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney:
Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence- Attend all court appearances and depositions
- Handle all aspects of discovery
- Efficiently and competently research legal issues
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients
Requirements for the Georgia-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney:
5 years of litigation experience at a personal injury defense law firm- Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Outstanding references

Type of Role: Engagement- Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time

Compensation
Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $185,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20 hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
