We are seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join our growing insurance agency. This role is responsible for managing and servicing a book of personal insurance clients, ensuring their policies are current, accurate, and tailored to meet their specific needs. Responsibilities include managing client communications, nurturing key relationships, and keeping track of all necessary documentation,- paying close attention to any policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations. You will help clients understand their coverage, assist with any endorsements or billing inquiries as needed, and ensure all relevant data is properly tracked in our secured systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the renewal report to ensure timely policy renewals and proactive client service.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication & Service:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated book of personal lines business.
o Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, endorsements, and
renewals.
o Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive service and
regular communication.
Policy Management:
o Process endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and
efficiently.
o Monitor client accounts for information accuracy, compliance, and timely updates.
o Assist with renewal quoting with appropriate carriers, keeping a holistic approach to
accounts.
Billing & Documentation:
o Assist clients, banks, and mortgage brokers with billing inquiries, issues, and coordinate with carriers to resolve billing issues. Assist with inspection companies to ensure a positive client experience.
o Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in the agency management system.
o Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
o Track policy deadlines, legal changes, and documentation requirements.
Renewal Management:
o Maintain and manage the renewal report to ensure all policies are reviewed, quoted and processed before expiration.
o Communicate proactively with clients during the renewal process to confirm ongoing needs and potential changes.
Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with producers, underwriters, and service team members to support agency processes and goals.
o Coordinate with carriers on client-related needs and policy updates.
o Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional lines of coverage when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
o College degree or equivalent experience
o Active Property & Casualty license required
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong knowledge of personal insurance products, including auto, home, renters, umbrella, and other property-related lines.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Proficiency in agency management systems (Applied Epic, or similar).
o Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with sharp attention to detail.
o A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to excellent service.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience handling high-net-worth personal lines clients.
Familiarity with multi-state or specialty personal lines coverages.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $55,000-$70,000 Quarterly bonus
