Job Description
Laser Center is a precision laser cutting company located in Schaumburg, IL. We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team.
The Packaging Operator is responsible for inspecting, packaging, and preparing finished parts for shipment. This position plays an important role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality products that meet their specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with shipping methods and customer requirements.
- Perform final visual inspections to verify parts are free of defects prior to packaging.
- Ensure customer orders are complete and accurately packaged.
- Package finished parts using boxes, pallets, or bulk containers as required.
- Safely operate an overhead crane for heavy or large parts (training provided).
- Operate a forklift to load and unload pallets (training and certification provided).
- Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily shipping goals.
- Clean and organize the work area in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical demands of the position.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Basic computer skills.
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent attendance and reliability.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:40 p.m.
Overtime: Overtime may be available based on production needs.
