Job description
Laser Center is a laser cutting company with production facilities in both Schaumburg, IL and Menomonee Falls, WI. We are looking to hire deburring operators at the newly constructed production facility in Menomonee Falls, WI. Production at the new facility will begin in February, 2025 but we are looking to hire immediately.
This position is responsible for daily setup and operation of deburring machines. Also, operators will use hand grinders to deburr on laser cut metal parts. He/she will also assist other operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping and maintenance work at operator level.
Responsibilities
- Select hand tool/machinery and abrasive media to obtain specified finish
- Removes surface imperfections to create a smooth deburred surface
- Replace worn belts and/or wheels using hand tools
- Insert, operate and remove parts from deburring machines
- Inspect parts to verify that they conform to customer specifications and have no defects
- Maintain accurate counts of parts; attach labels to finished parts identifying customer, part number, quantity and order information
- Report any defective parts to the supervisor
- Communicate with team members and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities
- Perform all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards
- Participate in machine/equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level
- Ensure that work area is clean and orderly at all times, including machines, tools and workstation
Qualifications
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job
- High school diploma preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Understanding and support of company policies and procedures
- Safety conscious behavior
- Excellent attendance

Pay: $19.58 - $21.41 per hour
