We are seeking a motivated and organized Operations Coordinator to support our Wisconsin operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with people, improving processes, and helping a manufacturing team run smoothly. The successful candidate will serve as a key operational partner to the Production Manager, coordinating day-to-day activities and ensuring the shop has the people, materials, documentation, and administrative support needed to operate efficiently.
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator will help oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational needs of the facility. This position serves as a key connection between employees, production leadership, and company resources while helping keep the shop organized, efficient, and running smoothly. By handling many of the operational and administrative responsibilities, this role allows production leadership to remain focused on safety, quality, and meeting customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily shop operations and help maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, training, and general team communication.
- Assist with employee scheduling and communication between production leadership and shop employees.
- Coordinate hiring activities, including candidate communication and interview scheduling.
- Maintain production documentation, records, and administrative processes that support manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate inventory tracking, purchasing, and replenishment of shop supplies and materials.
- Support scrap management activities and related reporting.
- Coordinate communication and operational support between our Illinois and Wisconsin facilities as needed.
- Assist with facility and employee needs to help keep operations running efficiently.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, organization, and overall operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships throughout the organization.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to write clear, professional emails.
- A proactive, hands-on attitude with a willingness to solve problems and continuously improve processes.
