The Housing Training Specialist will assist with training delivery, staff development, compliance support and program implementation while ensuring smooth and effective team performance. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability and the ability to step into a leadership role when guiding teams.
Responsibilities
- Deliver onboarding, technical and compliance training for housing staff
- Support operational teams with ongoing learning and development initiatives
- Partner with leadership to identify training gaps and implement solutions
- Maintain training documentation and track completion metrics
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards
- Collaborate with vendors and partners to enhance training content
- Assist with system rollouts and change management efforts
- Support audits, reporting and compliance reviews
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members
- Promote a resident-first service approach through training
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required, bachelor’s preferred
- Experience in training, housing operations or property management
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to translate complex policies into clear training materials
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work onsite and support multiple teams
- Industry certifications (COS, TCS, CAM, ARM, CAPS) preferred
- Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience
- Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance
- Location: Chicago, IL 60654 with support across Cook and Lake Counties
