The Procurement Manager will guide a team of buyers in managing supplier relationships, executing sourcing strategies, and supporting new product launches. Success in this position requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, a passion for developing people, and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve shared business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Relationship Management: Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management activities for finished goods categories, ensuring consistent supply, competitive pricing, and long-term value creation.
- Category Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sourcing strategies based on market insights, spend analysis, and production requirements to optimize cost, service, and performance.
- Team Leadership: Provide direction, coaching, and development to a team of procurement professionals. Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with planning, operations, and product teams to ensure material availability supports production timelines and new product introductions.
- Negotiation & Contracting: Manage supplier negotiations, RFPs, and contract execution to achieve favorable terms and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost savings, process efficiency, and supplier performance enhancement through proactive analysis and communication.
- Global Sourcing Awareness: Stay informed of global market trends and supply conditions to anticipate challenges and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Finance preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in direct procurement, purchasing, or sourcing finished goods or materials.
- 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
- Strong background in supplier relationship management, negotiation, and contract execution.
- Experience collaborating across functional teams in fast-paced, multi-site environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on partnership and collaboration.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Global sourcing experience preferred.
