- This role is for an overnight shift, 10:00 PM to whenever the work is complete, Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and inspire a diverse transportation team, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Champion safety-first operations, ensuring compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies while driving proactive accident prevention measures.
- Build and develop talent by hiring, training, and coaching drivers and staff to consistently exceed service, safety, and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot and optimize delivery operations, reducing waste, streamlining processes, and improving on-time performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to align transportation priorities with overall business goals.
- Proven track record with 3 years in transportation, delivery, or warehouse distribution, and at least 1 years in people leadership (union preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a history of motivating teams and influencing positive operational change.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation methods, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Tech proficiency, including Microsoft Office and transportation planning tools, with a willingness to adopt new systems quickly.
