CONTRACT Senior Accountant

LaSalle Network is proud to partner with a premier services client located in the heart of the Chicago Loop to hire an immediate-start contract Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and detail-oriented accounting professional to step in, make an immediate impact, and support a dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and drive the month-end close process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strict adherence to internal deadlines.
• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries required for the month-end close.
• Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies or variances.
• Utilize NetSuite to manage financial data, run reports, and support the broader accounting function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support financial reporting and ad-hoc analytical requests.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Immediate Availability: Must be able to start an assignment immediately.
• Month-End Close: Proven, hands-on experience overseeing and executing the month-end close process.
• Journal Entries: Extensive experience preparing and managing journal entries for close.
• Systems Experience: Direct, proficient experience utilizing NetSuite is strictly required.
• Work Arrangement: Must be local to the Chicagoland area and able to commute to the Chicago Loop office 2 days per week. This client is open to qualified remote candidates within Illinois.
