AR Analyst

LaSalle Network is partnering with our client to hire an AR Analyst in Des Plaines, IL. This direct hire role is a great fit for a candidate who brings deep B2B collections experience and enjoys managing a portfolio from outreach through resolution while supporting timely cash flow. In this AR Analyst position, you will collaborate closely with internal teams to resolve disputes, manage credit holds, assess customer risk, and improve key AR metrics. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone who is customer-focused, highly organized, and energized by process improvement in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer accounts within an assigned portfolio by conducting collection outreach via phone calls and emails.
• Identify problem accounts, write-offs, and required adjustments, and drive issues through to resolution using proactive action plans.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and execute strategic action plans to improve cash flow timeliness.
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Field Operations, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury, to resolve billing issues, disputes, pricing and contract questions, returns, and other account needs.
• Work with customers and Cash Applications to resolve open credits and refunds, and perform root-cause analysis to improve process efficiency.
• Analyze customer information to assess credit risk and provide recommendations to reduce risk exposure.
• Review and make decisions on new orders placed on credit hold by evaluating customer history and collection trends to determine business risk.
• Support portfolio performance by monitoring metrics such as past-due percentage, average days past due, and days sales outstanding (DSO), and contribute to initiatives that improve credit and collections processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of B2B collections experience with strong knowledge of the order-to-cash process.
• Strong customer-focused mindset with professional, client-facing communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to work independently while consistently following up through resolution.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to quickly solve complex problems.
• Nice to have: Familiarity with AI-enabled platforms or tools that optimize AR and collections workflows and B2B processes.
