Senior Funds Counsel - Elite Credit Fund

We are currently partnered with a high performing credit fund who continues to outperform their competition and grow year by year. They're seeking a senior private funds attorney to join their legal team and work on a number of different fund formation matters. This individual will be reporting to the General Counsel and assist the legal team in capital raising across various products. This individual will join a supportive team and have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base with a platform that has a long-standing history of success. You will also have the opportunity to work with C-Suite individuals and be the driving force on their funds legal team.

Responsibilities:

• Play a lead role in assisting the funds team on fund formation & capital raising across various products
  
• Assist on the drafting and reviewing of documents related to new private fund/product structuring and launches
  
• Negotiate and oversee legal documentation including side letters, limited partnership agreements, and assist with investor relations matters
  
• Oversee and manage outside counsel
  

Requirements:

• JD from a top tier Law school
  
• 7 years of experience within private practice or in-house environment at an established Investment Manager
  
• Experience with Private Funds required
  
• Ability to work autonomously and act as lead in-house attorney on a product launch
