Real Estate Paralegal (Transactional) - Hybrid
Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support a busy transactional real estate practice in our Milwaukee office. This hybrid role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least 3 years of real estate paralegal experience, particularly in commercial and/or residential transactions under Wisconsin law. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing real estate transactions from contract through closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financings
- Draft, revise, and coordinate transactional documents such as:
- Purchase and sale agreements
- Leases and amendments
- Closing statements and settlement documents
- Deeds, easements, and affidavits
- Manage transaction timelines and closing checklists to ensure deadlines are met
- Coordinate closings with clients, lenders, title companies, surveyors, and opposing counsel
- Review title commitments, surveys, and exception documents; assist with title and survey issue resolution
- Prepare and file closing documents with appropriate Wisconsin state and county offices
- Conduct due diligence, including organizing and reviewing agreements, reports, and zoning or land use materials
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical transaction files
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams throughout the transaction process
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a real estate paralegal, with a strong focus on transactional real estate work
- Experience working with Wisconsin real estate transactions and recording requirements preferred
- Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience required; bachelor's degree a plus
- Strong understanding of real estate closing processes and documentation
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environmen
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
