Our client is seeking an experienced ED, Head of Biologics IP to lead and scale its biologics intellectual property strategy. This role will report to senior IP leadership and oversee a global team, serving as a strategic partner to scientific, manufacturing, and corporate stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global biologics IP team, building and maintaining a strong patent portfolio supporting R&D, manufacturing, and commercialization.
- Serve as a strategic IP advisor to senior leaders on patent strategy, regulatory data exclusivity, and related IP matters.
- Support business development, corporate development, and research collaborations, including diligence, deal support, and alliance management.
- Oversee patent strategy execution, competitive landscape analysis, and litigation support as needed.
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school; admission to the USPTO and at least one state bar required.
- Advanced degree in biological sciences; PhD strongly preferred.
- 15 years of biopharmaceutical IP experience, including significant in‑house experience and prior leadership responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in global biologics patent law and the drug discovery, development, and commercialization lifecycle.
Salary : $325,000 - $375,000
