A healthcare organization is seeking a General Counsel to oversee legal functions across the organization. In this role you will manage corporate, regulatory, healthcare, and real estate matters in support of strategic business goals.
Responsibilites:
- Provide counsel on litigation, corporate governance, employment law, contract law, and healthcare regulation.
- Review, Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts.
- Review estoppel certificates, SNDA documents, and memoranda of lease.
- Manage landlord-tenant disputes, prepare demand letters, negotiate resolutions and draft settlement agreements.
- Prepare documentation for new and existing stores, offices and facilites.
- Manage litigation, including strategy development, coordination with outside counsel, and oversight of case progress.
- Ensure Compliance with state and federal healthcare laws.
- Advise and manage employee relations, investigations, terminations, and complaince with labor and employment law.
- Provide guidance on governance matters such as, corporate structure, board matters, and entity management.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) - Active member of the State Bar of California
- 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions (document drafting, litigation, and business/corporate law)
- Previous In-House Counsel experience
- Strong written, organizational and verbal communciation skills
Salary : $250,000 - $260,000
