A multi-billion-dollar investment firm specializing in technology and consumer sectors across public and private markets is seeking a Private Investments Counsel to join its expanding legal team. In this role, you will partner closely with the GC/CCO to drive private investment transactions, oversee all phases of private fund lifecycles, navigate evolving regulatory landscapes, and manage a range of general corporate matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the GC/CCO to execute private investment transactions and oversee all stages of private fund lifecycles.
- Provide strategic legal and regulatory guidance to investment and operations teams across a wide range of matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate key agreements, including NDAs, service contracts, and side letters.
- Monitor evolving regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on the firm's operations and compliance strategy.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, outside counsel and compliance advisors.
Qualifications:
- J.D. and 5 years of experience in PE transactions either at a law firm or in-house within financial services.
- Strong ability to communicate complex legal concepts to internal stakeholders and collaborate cross functionally within the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in managing documentation and compliance processes.
