Our client, a well-established energy company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its tight‑knit legal team. The organization provides large‑scale power solutions and supports a diverse mix of energy assets, with an emphasis on affordability, reliability, and long‑term sustainability. Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level attorney who enjoys hands‑on commercial work and wants to support rapidly evolving energy transactions. You'll play a key role in negotiating critical agreements as the company expands partnerships with developers and large‑scale energy users.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or support the negotiation of offtake agreements with energy developers
- Work on power purchase agreements (PPAs), including transactions involving high‑demand customers such as data centers
- Support projects involving solar, wind, and battery storage assets
- Collaborate closely with internal teams on deal structure, risk assessment, and execution
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in commercial, transactional, or infrastructure work
- Prior power or energy sector experience - including PPAs, offtake agreements, or work with solar, wind, or battery storage projects
- Strong contract negotiation skills and comfort working with developers, commercial teams, and external partners
Salary : $200,000
