Compliance Monitoring and Testing Associate

Compensation: $100,000 - $135,000

A top bank is looking for a Monitoring & Testing Associate to support its Compliance Monitoring & Testing program. This role focuses on evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, and ensuring business activities align with regulatory expectations and internal policies.

• Perform monitoring and testing activities to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls across various business units.
• Develop and refine test plans, procedures, scripts, and sampling methodologies.
• Document testing results thoroughly and maintain organized workpapers.
• Identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and potential compliance or regulatory risks.
• Draft findings and support the preparation of reports for Compliance leadership.
• Work closely with business partners to understand processes, gather supporting evidence, and track remediation progress.
• Contribute to enhancements of the testing framework and methodology.
• Keep up to date with regulatory developments, industry trends, and internal policy changes.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or control testing within financial services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, internal controls, and testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related tools.
