POSITION: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Full-Time (195 days), District-wide. QUALIFICATIONS: Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification RESPONSIBILITIES: • Interview Staff and/or family members who know the individual served and utilize background and preliminary information gathered to develop a plan to address student needs. • Analyze available data to help determine where, when, and why problem behaviors occur. • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessment and/or develop Behavior Intervention Plan for identified students • Directly observe the individual served in all relevant settings. • Analyze the data to determine the function of the problem behavior. • Consult, train and support district staff in the development and implementation of data collection protocols and processes for students with identified needs in the areas of social/emotional and/or behavior. • Provide staff develop development and training specific to the areas of social/emotional and behavior management techniques. • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary to review assessment results, goals/objective development, student progress and consult when needed. • Define all target behaviors in objective and measurable terms and design an appropriate data collection system to measure the target behaviors. • Integrate appropriate setting event, antecedent, teaching, and consequences strategies to reduce problem behavior and increase alternative replacement behaviors. • Ensure the behavior support plan addresses the function of the problem behavior. • Monitor the individual’s behavior data and provide descriptive progress notes on a monthly basis. • Uses applied behavior analysis to facilitate changes in behavior.
