The Ranch, Larimer County Fairgrounds and Event Center is seeking a skilled individual to join the team as a Temporary Grounds Maintenance Technician!
A landscaping and grounds maintenance professional is responsible for preserving the appearance, health, and overall functionality of outdoor spaces. This role involves operating a variety of tools and equipment, adhering to established safety practices, and working both independently and collaboratively to ensure properties remain clean, safe, and aesthetically appealing.

This temporary position is expected to last approximately 5 months. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities
What you'll be doing:
- Performing landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
- Planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
- Redistributing and replenishing rock and mulch.
- Assisting with lawn aeration.
- Adjusting and repairing sprinkler systems.
- Applying herbicides, fertilizers, and other landscape treatments.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in grounds maintenance.
- Ability to apply chemicals according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Skill in operating and maintaining equipment.
- Capability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Commitment to operating equipment safely.
