What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meter Modernization Security Consultant position at Largeton Group?
Job Summary
- Consult on modernization of gas meter data collection systems for a utility client, ensuring alignment with business and technology needs.
- Review and assess new solutions using the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) to identify and manage security risks.
- Collaborate with vendors and compliance teams to perform Third-Party Information Security Assessments (TISA).
- Integrate new technology solutions into existing environments, ensuring compliance with company policies, standards, and security best practices.
- Advise on regulatory and security requirements, including TSA Security Directive Pipeline-2021-02D and other applicable regulations.
- Provide expertise on a variety of security tools and technologies, specifically Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Create, maintain, and update documentation, such as security design reviews, vulnerability assessments, architectural diagrams, threat models, and disaster recovery plans.
- Participate in and contribute to validation sessions, working closely with business owners, technical SMEs, project managers, and change management teams.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, delivering updates, and responding to status requests.
- Assist with operationalization and deployment of new technologies, including changes to field user devices and operating systems.
- Support audit preparation by providing necessary documentation and input.
- Attend and participate in regular project meetings, stand-ups, and working sessions during standard business hours (8 AM – 5 PM PST).
- Lead and drive work independently, managing ambiguity and escalating issues as needed to maintain project momentum.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and Network teams.
- Deliver key project artifacts and assessments, including security reviews, business impact analyses, plans of action, and milestones.
- Track and report weekly time and project progress, ensuring timely approvals and deliverables.
