Job Summary – Data Architect (San Jose, CA)
- Design & Strategy:
- Design, develop, and implement secure and scalable cloud-based data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes.
- Lead the selection, integration, and optimization of cloud data services (e.g., storage, databases, analytics tools).
- Develop and align cloud data strategies with business objectives.
- Diagramming & Documentation:
- Create clear and detailed visual diagrams (data flow, entity-relationship, system architecture) for implementation and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, design choices, and processes.
- Implementation & Optimization:
- Hands-on development and deployment of cloud data solutions.
- Proactively identify and implement performance improvements in data systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, data quality, and data accessibility.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts through clear diagrams and documentation.
- Qualifications:
- Must have a B. Tech/B.E. in Computer Science (4-year degree required).
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with distributed computing (Spark, Map Reduce, DataBricks).
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions in Azure.
- Deep knowledge of data modeling, relational and non-relational databases.
- Exceptional skills in diagramming tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of cloud data services and big data technologies preferred.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, SQL) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Must work EST hours; onsite/hybrid in San Jose, CA.
- Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science (4-year degree, major in Computer Science only).
Salary : $65 - $70
