At the heart of our family experience is Camp Seagull, a thoughtfully designed summer program for children from preschool through 4th grade. Camp Seagull provides a balanced mix of sailing, swimming, sports, creative arts, and outdoor exploration in a safe and supportive setting. Our youngest campers are introduced to new activities through guided play and structured routines, while older campers build skills, independence, and confidence. Families return year after year because of the quality of the experience and the strength of our staff.
We are seeking an energetic and skilled Sports & Wellness Program Specialist to join our 2026 summer team.
Position Summary
The Sports & Wellness Program Specialist leads engaging, age-appropriate physical activity programming for campers ranging from preschool through 4th grade. This role is ideal for teachers, early childhood educators, physical education instructors, youth coaches, and wellness professionals seeking a meaningful and active summer opportunity.
You will design and deliver structured sports and movement-based programming that supports physical development, teamwork, coordination, and confidence. Success in this role requires the ability to adapt instruction for early childhood and elementary-age learners while maintaining a positive, well-managed environment.

What You Will Do
- Plan and lead daily sports and wellness activities tailored to preschool and elementary-age campers
- Introduce foundational movement skills such as balance, coordination, agility, and teamwork
- Teach age-appropriate team sports, cooperative games, and fitness activities
- Create a safe, inclusive environment that encourages participation and builds confidence
- Adjust instruction to meet the developmental needs of younger campers
- Reinforce positive behavior, sportsmanship, and social skills
- Maintain organized equipment and safe activity spaces
- Collaborate with counselors and fellow specialists to support the overall camp schedule
- Participate in staff orientation, training, meetings, and special camp events

Qualifications:Qualifications
Required:
- Experience working with preschool and elementary-age children

- Clear communication and a positive leadership style
- Availability for the full 2026 summer season
Preferred:
- Teaching certification or coaching credentials
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience in early childhood physical development or youth sports programs
- Knowledge of safe play and youth risk management practices
