The Club’s grounds and facilities are a defining part of the member experience. From the clubhouse and event spaces to outdoor patios, walkways, and recreational areas, maintaining a clean, organized, and well-presented environment is essential. The Facilities and Support Services team plays a key role in ensuring the property is always ready for daily use and special events.
Position Summary
The Seasonal Houseperson supports the daily upkeep, cleanliness, and overall presentation of the Club’s facilities and grounds. This is a hands-on role that combines housekeeping, event setup, and light maintenance work to keep the property operating smoothly.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in schools, facilities maintenance, custodial services, or porter roles who are looking for steady seasonal work in a professional environment. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Cleaning and Upkeep
- Maintain cleanliness of interior spaces including locker rooms, restrooms, dining areas, lounges, and staff areas
- Support upkeep of outdoor areas including patios, walkways, entrances, and recreational spaces
- Complete routine and deep cleaning tasks such as floor care, window cleaning, and surface polishing
- Ensure all public areas remain clean, stocked, and ready for member use
Event Setup and Support
- Assist with setup and breakdown of events by moving tables, chairs, linens, and equipment
- Prepare indoor and outdoor spaces for daily operations and special functions
- Support quick turnaround of spaces between events and service periods
General Maintenance and Operations
- Perform light maintenance tasks and report any repair or safety concerns
- Assist with seasonal preparations for high-use areas including pool and waterfront spaces
- Transport supplies and materials across the property as needed
- Support opening and closing procedures including securing areas and managing lighting
Waste and Inventory Support
- Collect and manage trash and recycling throughout the property
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas
- Assist with restocking supplies and monitoring inventory levels
