Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Hotel Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. The ideal candidate will ensure a high standard of hygiene, comfort, and hospitality for all guests. This role is essential in providing an exceptional guest experience and supporting the smooth operation of our hotel. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Clean and disinfect guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and amenities as needed
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and perform floor care to maintain a pristine environment
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products
- Report maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored properly after use
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff
- Assist with deep cleaning projects including industrial cleaning and custodial tasks when required
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, elevators, and other public spaces
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or housekeeping management preferred
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and guest service expectations
- Ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks such as lifting or bending
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple rooms or areas simultaneously
- Ability to follow safety procedures related to industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals
