Job Summary

• Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and surface sanitation to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures following company policies and health regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
• Operate various cleaning equipment including vacuums, carpet cleaners, mops, and floor buffers with proper manual handling techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care methods suitable for different surfaces.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or balcony cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance when required.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service experience.
• Use cleaning detergents safely and appropriately while ensuring proper storage and disposal to promote sanitation.
• Assist with custodial tasks like restocking supplies, managing inventory of cleaning materials, and maintaining equipment functionality.
• Support housekeeping management by following schedules, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial expertise.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures including surface sanitation, floor cleaning techniques, carpet cleaning, and outdoor maintenance.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines.
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when moving furniture or large items during deep cleans or maintenance tasks.
• Excellent manual handling skills combined with a keen eye for detail in dusting, surface cleaning, and sanitation practices.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within a housekeeping environment.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple spaces while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents and chemicals with an emphasis on safety protocols for storage and usage.
• Experience in outdoor work settings is advantageous for maintaining exterior areas or patios as needed.
