Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Houseman to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep floors, mop surfaces, and conduct detailed floor care to maintain a polished appearance
- Manage heavy lifting tasks for moving furniture, supplies, or equipment in compliance with manual handling safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and other high-touch areas to ensure sanitation standards are met or exceeded
- Use industrial cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to safety guidelines for chemical handling and equipment operation
- Respond promptly to emergency cleaning needs or spillages as part of hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety and comfort
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping management, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including carpet care and floor maintenance
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) requirements
- Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors with attention to safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks efficiently without compromising safety
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping standards, sanitation practices, and hotel emergency procedures is highly desirable

Pay: $11.00 - $11.75 per hour
