Plating Department Supervisor / Manager – 1st Shift

Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc., a premier manufacturer of Class A, high-visibility automotive components, is seeking a Plating Department Supervisor / Manager for 1st shift. This hands-on leadership role oversees loaders, unloaders, and area leads, while managing production priorities, reducing scrap, and ensuring high-demand products are completed efficiently.

What You’ll Do:
- Supervise loaders, unloaders, and area leads on the production floor
- Delegate work effectively to ensure teams stay on task
- Oversee Load and Unload areas, prioritizing high-demand products
- Monitor scrap levels and provide regular reporting to management
- Coach, train, and correct team members to maintain department standards
- Maintain staffing, attendance, and performance expectations
- Assist in training new team members and document their progress
- Complete required data entry and production reporting
- Promote a safe, organized, and team-focused work environment
What You Bring:
- Previous supervisory or management experience in manufacturing preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience delegating work and leading production teams
- Comfort with data entry and reporting systems
Shift & Compensation:
- 1st Shift: 3:30 AM – 11:30 AM, Monday–Thursday (some overtime required)
- Pay: $20–$24 per hour (based on experience)
