Position: 3rd Shift Production Team Member (Injection Molding & Assembly)
Shift: Sunday – Thursday or Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Location: Lapeer, MI
Lapeer Plating & Plastics, Inc. is seeking dependable, hands-on individuals to join our 3rd Shift Production Team. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated, detail-oriented candidates who want to build a career in a fast-paced, team-focused manufacturing environment.
No Experience Needed – Full Training Provided!
As a 3rd Shift Production Team Member, you will help produce high-quality plastic and chrome-plated automotive components through injection molding, assembly, and inspection tasks. You’ll be trained to operate machinery, inspect parts for quality, perform light assembly, and support overall production flow throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Start, stop, and monitor injection molding machines according to standard operating procedures.
Inspection: Examine molded and plated parts for visual or surface defects to ensure quality standards are met.
Trimming & Assembly: Clip or trim excess material, assemble minor components, and complete finishing tasks as needed.
Packing: Prepare and pack parts accurately into boxes or containers for shipment.
Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials or finished parts to maintain production efficiency.
Housekeeping: Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
Position Requirements
Must be 18 years or older.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the shift.
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance, particularly during the 60-day probation period.
Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
Basic math and reading skills for interpreting labels, work instructions, and performing simple calculations.
