Inventory Control Associate Job Description
Reports to: Inventory Control Manager
Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for ensuring accuracy of inventory as it relates to the physical locations and the inventory systems in place.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily review of inventory levels on hand, cycle counts, discrepancies, slotting, and attributes.
  • Perform daily cycle counts; identify and resolve required corrections to inventory and bin locations.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by resolving all inbound receipt and shipping discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation within Trend to ensure record accuracy with discrepancies and credits.
  • Research and analyze purchase orders/sales orders and product, to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Kitting assembly/disassembly to ensure inventory levels are maintained to match sales demand.
  • Propose inventory control process improvements.
  • Partake in overall housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Powered industrial truck (PIT) license (Forklift license) or the ability to obtain a PIT license.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, managers, leads, and peers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Willing to participate in Company designated training.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance.
  • Must be able to practice safe work habits.
Physical Demands:
This is a General Warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
