Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of operations staff across transaction processing, client servicing, and back-office functions.
- Actively monitor workflows, resolve escalations, and assist with day-to-day trade processing.
- Own end-to-end process management to improve operational procedures.
- Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Accounting teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee vendor and counterparty relationships relevant to operations.
- Lead incident response for operational failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Drive automation and technology initiatives to reduce operational risk.
- Maintain the company’s Marine Cargo insurance policy.
- 10-15 years of progressive operations experience within financial services.
- Strong working knowledge of physical commodities, products, and back-office processes.
- Experience in managing and motivating teams, including performance management.
- Proficient in operational reporting and data analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
