Financial Analyst

Company Overview:

A private equity firm in Boston is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. The role will support portfolio company data collection, valuation processes, and analysis within the Financial Planning & Analysis team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the firm’s quarterly portfolio company valuation processes, including data collection, data synthesis, documentation, and reporting
• Perform data aggregation, structuring, and quality review to ensure accuracy and consistency across the portfolio
• Gather and analyze key financial and operational metrics from portfolio company board decks, financial statements, and other reporting packages
• Identify process and system improvements to drive increased efficiency and accuracy in portfolio company monitoring and reporting workflows
• Contribute to analytical work across the FP&A team, including analyzing trends and producing analysis and reports
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to help propagate financial information across the firm
• Participate in cross-functional business projects and perform ad hoc analysis
• Leverage technology and AI in daily tasks and identify additional tools to drive efficiency
  
  

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in a financial analyst, data analyst, or similar role
• BS in finance, economics, accounting, or a related analytical discipline
• Command of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other Microsoft programs
• Some experience with SQL/Python and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $100,000 – $120,000, Plus Bonus
