Finance Manager – Special Situations

Company Overview:

A leading global private investment firm with approximately $185 billion in assets under management is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Special Situations team. This role involves managing finance responsibilities and supporting portfolio management and investor needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Gain an overall understanding of the Special Situations business and manage team at all levels through general finance responsibilities
• Support all portfolio management, finance, and investor needs
• Understand complex investment structures and work through tax, legal, and book implications for funds
• Identify and oversee process improvements using automation and technology
• Review monthly returns, NAVs, and capital reporting to investors
• Review quarterly financial statements, management fee and carry calculations, and other deliverables for investor reporting
• Manage the year-end audit process with outside accountants
• Work closely with the deal staff and portfolio management team to address questions
• Collaborate with various groups within the firm and outside administrators
• Assist in fundraising requests and information requests from investors
• Handle frequent and unique ad hoc requests
  
  

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of experience at an Investment Advisor and/or public accounting role
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work under tight deadlines
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to work unsupervised
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with VBA, PowerBI, Alteryx, Python is recommended
• Four-year college degree with a major in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification is a plus
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $125,000 – $145,000, Plus Bonus
