Production Line Lead

We're looking for a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Production Line Lead to help oversee daily production operations at our chocolate manufacturing facility.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, takes initiative, and can keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. You'll help coordinate employees, operate equipment, maintain production goals, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

We're looking for a Production Line Lead who communicates respectfully, adapts to changing priorities, and takes ownership of their work.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up production lines, including melting chocolate, filling and moving melters, and positioning equipment.
• Operate, monitor, clean, and troubleshoot chocolate manufacturing equipment, including One-Shot, Selmi/Enrober, and DoBoy Wrapper machines.
• Test chocolate for proper temper and help maintain product quality.
• Lead and support production employees to ensure materials and equipment are ready and production goals are met on time.
• Complete work orders, production paperwork, and required food safety documentation.
• Ensure production equipment is properly cleaned and free from allergen contamination.
• Coordinate the movement of finished product pallets to designated areas, including metal detection.
• Identify and address production challenges while keeping operations safe and efficient.
• Adjust to changing production needs and support team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing or production, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Ability to lead, direct, and motivate a team in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and meet production goals.
• Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to start early, stay late, or adjust working hours based on production needs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
