Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Moses Lake, WA, 98837
Position Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the maintenance of plant utility systems including boilers, scrubbers, cooling towers, air compressors, and general facility equipment. This hands-on role will ensure operational readiness, minimize downtime, and uphold safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily maintenance activities of the facility’s utility systems and infrastructure.
- Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair boilers, chillers, scrubbers, pumps, motors, and RO water systems.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and system performance logs.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians and maintenance staff.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and manage supply procurement.
- Participate in budget planning and capital improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems including boilers, cooling towers, and air handling equipment.
- Boiler Operator License (preferred).
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
- Industrial plant setting with exposure to heat, chemicals, and mechanical systems.
- Some lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces required.
- On-call availability for emergencies.
- Must be able to pass respirator fit-test (clean-shaven).
- Able to meet all safety expectations including wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safe practices.
- Previous experience in sulfur processing, chemical plants, or industrial operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, hazardous materials handling, and environmental regulations.
