Pathologists’ Assistant

🕒 Full-Time | 1-Year Contract

💼 Day Shift, 5x8 hours | Hours may fall between 9:00 AM – 8:30 PM (flexible scheduling)

As a Pathologists' Assistant, you will work under the supervision of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology and the Director of Operations. You will be responsible for gross examination, specimen handling, frozen sections, documentation, and assisting with administrative and operational tasks within the department.

• Perform grossing, photographing, and description of surgical pathology specimens
• Assist with frozen section preparation
• Maintain protocols, procedures, and documentation
• Support administrative and operational functions within the Anatomic Pathology department
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and processing of specimens
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain high-quality standards

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pathologists’ Assistant
• PA(ASCP) certification
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program (list included below)
• Must currently be working as a Pathologists' Assistant with consistent work history
