Position Overview
We are seeking a Contract Specialist to support the Engineering Consultant function within a public-sector environment. This role is responsible for contract administration, financial review, and documentation support, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payments and records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with contracts, invoices, and accounting-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, and manage contracts and contract-related documentation
- Review and approve payment reports and invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Apply basic accounting principles to support financial and contract activities
- Support budget tracking, expenditures, and financial documentation
- Utilize computer applications including Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple work assignments effectively
- Ensure adherence to established processes, policies, and timelines
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with contracts or contract administration
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience reviewing and approving invoices and payment reports
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of budgeting fundamentals and expenditure tracking
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
