What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Technician position at LanceSoft, Inc.?
Role- AV Technician
Location: Arden Hills, MN or Marlboro, MA
Duration: 6 Months
Experience Requested: 3–5 Years (Typical for AV Tech roles)
Required Skills & Responsibilities:
• Perform daily and routine checks of all conference rooms to ensure full operational readiness.
– Test room equipment including displays, audio systems, cameras, microphones, and control panels.
– Verify hardware power status and battery levels for devices such as remotes.
– Confirm proper functionality of all audio and video features.
– Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues; coordinate with vendors as required.
– Ensure rooms are clean, organized, and visually presentable; work with Facilities on any physical space needs.
• Utilize AV monitoring tools to proactively identify system issues and respond quickly.
• Provide on-site assistance to users experiencing AV or conference room issues.
– Troubleshoot active problems in real time.
– Engage external vendors when needed for escalated support.
• Conduct regular AV training sessions for employees, including:
– Equipment usage and best practices
– General AV support guidance and Q&A sessions
• Track, update, and resolve ServiceNow service requests and incidents related to AV.
• Collaborate with the broader AV team on deployment of AV environment updates, equipment enhancements, and process improvements.
• Act as the dedicated on-site point of contact for all AV-related needs at the Arden Hills location.
• Support and participate in special AV-related projects as assigned by management.
