Lamers Bus Lines is looking for an organized, people-focused individual to join our school bus department in a full-time, year-round role. You’ll own the day-to-day routes for your school district — coordinating routes, communicating with drivers, and supporting daily operations — with the opportunity to get behind the wheel as a backup school bus driver when needed. No CDL? No problem — Lamers provides in-house CDL training. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a positive attitude are a must.

Job Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; must be detail-oriented.
- Computer experience in a business or education environment.
- Willingness to obtain a CDL — Lamers covers training in-house — and assist with school bus driving as needed.
- Knowledge of student transportation or commercial transportation operations is a plus.
- Coordinate drivers and buses on routes, keeping daily operations running smoothly.
- Accurately assign students to routes.
- Communicate with drivers daily, providing route information and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records for payroll and enter data into our system.
- Check in drivers and manage two-way radio communication during route times, relaying messages and handling concerns as they arise.
- Assist with charter paperwork, including calculating driver pay and trip pricing.
- Answer incoming calls, resolving what you can and directing the rest to the right department.
- Fill in on school routes or charter trips as a backup driver when needed.
