Job Summary
The Department of English and Modern Languages seeks candidates to teach lower division composition courses, including co-requisite courses and courses in the first-year composition sequence. These include ENGL 0301, 1301, and 1302.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach courses at assigned times using current pedagogical methods, keeping accurate records of students’ grades.
- Maintain effective and timely communication with students, chair of department, and composition director.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
- Applicants should have an earned MA in English.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to implement effective and innovative teaching strategies.
Physical Requirements: Able to lift 25 lbs and be able to perform a variety of physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, stair climbing and walking between buildings.
