Sr. Financial Analyst – Distribution & Capex

The Sr. Analyst – Distribution & Capex finance is a highly visible and impactful role in the organization helping to analyze, interpret, communicate, monitor, predict and drive business results. Reporting to the Director of FP&A & Distribution Finance, this individual will be a key player in monitoring, analyzing and reporting of the main Distribution cost drivers, proactively providing decision making information to the Distribution organization of the business. In addition, this individual will cross functionally partner with Operation and Sales teams to support Capex Initiatives. The candidate will also be accountable for key aspects of the finance functions including monthly close support, forecasting and annual operating plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

· Performs quantitative analysis of operational and financial data

· Preparation and Submission of Journal entries to record correct expenses for respective period

· Lead distribution mid-month & month-end close reporting

· Prepare & present decks to executive and senior management on monthly perspective

· Support business’s IBP process by providing timely forecast of Distribution cost on monthly perspective

· Cross functionally partner with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and opportunities in Distribution costs

· Monthly Analysis of category and customer profitability to drive improvement in companies portfolio

· Product & Customer profitability analysis by partnering with Network optimization specialist to support cost to serve exercise

· Provide visibility to respective stakeholders by tracking monthly capex spend by projects

· Evaluates new projects and investment opportunities and ensuring KPI’s such as NPV, ROI and Pay back period are in alignment with company guidelines

· Evaluate Projects to ensure they meet company Fixed Asset policy criteria to be considered a Capital Expense

· Monthly reconciliation of respective Balance Sheet accounts

· Support annual operating plan build by leading Distribution and Capex Planning cycles

· Performs ad hoc analysis

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

· 2 years’ experience in finance/accounting

· Distribution Finance, Capital Expense and FP&A

· SAP experience including Business Warehouse queries and reporting.

· CPG experience and/or Food and Beverage experience is a plus.

· Experience with business systems, Transportation Management systems and financial reporting tools. Track record of effective cross functional collaboration and influence.

· Track record of process improvement, simplification, and streamlining finance processes.

SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and modeling experience

· Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to interface with senior leaders in the business.

· Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Detailed-oriented.

FORMAL EDUCATION

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is required.

· Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.

· The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.

· Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
