About the Role
The Front Office Coordinator is the first and last impression our patients have of Lakeside Dental Solutions. You will play a vital role in creating a smooth, positive experience for every patient from the moment they call or walk in. This is a people-first role that requires great energy, strong communication, and the ability to keep things organized and running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient questions and concerns
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments to maintain an efficient and productive daily schedule
- Check patients out following appointments, collect co-pays and balances, and process payments
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and assist patients in understanding their coverage and financial options
- Present and review treatment plan fees and payment arrangements with patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information as needed
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Manage the recall and reactivation system to keep the schedule full and patients on track with their care
- Assist with referrals and follow-up correspondence as needed
- Support the office manager and team with administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a front office or customer-facing role in a dental or healthcare setting
- Dental experience is strongly preferred — healthcare front office experience will be considered
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Basic understanding of dental insurance, billing, and scheduling preferred
- Experience with EagleSoft or comparable dental practice management software is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior dental front office experience
- Familiarity with insurance verification and benefit breakdowns
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required
